As one of the supporting organizations, IEA was invited by the host, MakeOmnia, to the "STEM to SEN" opening ceremony at the Hong Kong Productivity Council for supporting students with special education needs (SEN) by bridging technology with SEN applications.

To encourage teaching and learning of innovative technology, the "STEM to SEN" initiatives are broken down into three phases. Each phase is inclusive of recruiting participants and volunteers, annual meetings, 3D printing workshops, exhibiting 3D artworks, and other activities.

The project aims to help SEN students gain a deeper understanding of innovation and technology on the elementary level, escalate their imaginations, and increase their employment prospects in the science and technology field, achieving social inclusion in the community.
